Learning through creativity: here’s our invitation !
The Laurent Duvernay-Tardif Foundation designed the Get Creative with LDT! program to complement the art curriculum in elementary schools and introduce children to the history of Québec art. The program offers an exciting way for kids to immerse themselves in the world of contemporary visual arts and learn about how an artwork is created, guided by cultural mediators and professional artists.
Boîte Musée ambulant ♥️ Fondation LDT
During winter 2021, the LDT Foundation joined with Musée Ambulant to offer in-class art activities free of charge to elementary schools across Québec through virtual mediation! Together, the LDT Foundation and Musée ambulant want to be part of having children 7 to 12 years old discover and explore contemporary art.
The Boîte Musée ambulant ♥ Fondation LDT mediation workshops, adapted to all cycles, offer students and teachers high-quality pedagogical content and a step-by-step approach to both the art process and art appreciation.
GET CREATIVE WITH LDT! educational program
Eleven- and twelve-year-olds are invited to participate in art-creation workshops organized as part of the GET CREATIVE WITH LDT! program designed with OPTICA. Each workshop is directly inspired by the practice of a living artist who has made her or his mark in Québec contemporary art. Guided by cultural mediators, the kids create works in different media, such as painting, collage, installation, and photography. The intention of the LDT Foundation, in partnership with OPTICA, is to complement art classes in the school environment, while introducing kids to issues in Québec contemporary art and art history.
Because of the COVID-19 pandemic, the GET CREATIVE WITH LDT! program is currently on hold. It will be relaunched when conditions are safe.
